Beachgrove Island 1887 - 2012 : 125 Years

The descendants of George Taylor Denison II are celebrating 125 years of history on Beachgrove Island in Lake Muskoka. The island near Gravenhurst, Ontario, Canada has been the summer home of successive generations of family since 1887. This summer 2012, the family is commemorating its history with a weekend of tours, picnics, costumes, storytelling and fireworks.

SegwunThe historic Muskoka steamship, RMS Segwun, is the highlight of this celebration. The history of the steamer and the history of our family go hand in hand. Segwun tours this summer will share our stories of life in Muskoka, and a big family cruise in July will be the high point of our festivities.
